The Department of Buildings (DOB) issues a Stop Work Order (SWO) when inspectors determine a site has unsafe work or conditions. SWO's are issued to protect workers, residents, the public, and buildings and properties. When DOB halts work, the SWO Coordinator contacts the project executive or construction manager to outline the necessary steps to correct the safety hazard.
There are two types of Stop Work Orders:
- Full: All work is prohibited, excluding remedial work required to make the site safe.
- Partial: A partial SWO does not stop all work on a site: certain work or work in a particular area is prohibited.

• You have verified that spelling and content are correct and assume all responsibility for typographical errors.
• You are satisfied with the document layout.
• You understand that your document will print EXACTLY* as it appears as given on the application that you cannot make any changes once the document is approved.
• You certify that you are legally authorized to utilize any corporation or consulting services being applied to E & E Management for the purposes of fulfilling these documentation. Further, you indemnify, hold harmless and agree to defend E & E Management, its vendors and affiliates from any suit, claim or demand arising from your reproduction or use of these documents.
EXCHANGE OR REFUNDS:
• No Exchange or Refund will be applied on any uncompleted payments.
• No refunds will be made on any services not collected after (30) days.
